Not BangShift Approved: The Corvette Body Kit to End All Corvette Body Kits

Not BangShift Approved: The Corvette Body Kit to End All Corvette Body Kits

Just when you thought it was safe to go outside, we’re dropping this on you. Yesterday we showed you the body kit to convert your 2010 Camaro into a 1969 “looking” Camaro, today we show you something that we are struggling to explain. Just the design phase alone on this body kit mystifies us.

Imagine a bunch of guys sitting around a room, and these are probably smart dudes. One guy pipes up and says, “Hey, we need to make a body kit to make a new Corvette look like and old Corvette.” The others nod in approval. Then from the back, Steve, the company clown yells out, “And we’ll put a weenie station wagon looking back on it!”

Word rockets through the halls, right into the inner sanctum of upper management. Renderings are done, focus groups are held, design changes are made and then…and then…someone actually green lights the project! Someone really thought this was a good idea? Maybe they secretly hate Corvettes? We’re just trying to figure a reason why.

Your job is to help us figure this out. Please ‘splain to us why this exists. Really, we can’t do the math on our own. Blood shoots from our ears when we think hard on it. After you get done with that, let us know what you think of it.

Cool or Lame?

I only saw it briefly, but I saw one of those new Corvettes made to look like a 50’s vette. It was a really nice shade of red, and I didn’t notice a wagon roofline, but as I said, I only got a glimpse as passed, going the oposite direction. Any idea of who makes it? I’m not a big fan of the new Corvettes, but this is pretty cool.
