It’s always cringeworthy when you hear of someone’s pride and joy getting wrecked. It’s seriously cringeworthy when you make the paper with your own hot rod’s accident. The driver of this particular Ford found out the latter after an accident near Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The driver was returning home from the annual Winter Blast Rod Run when he struck a center median and wound up parked in the middle of a lane. He waited twenty minutes for a tow truck to remove him from traffic, and the onlookers. Damage looks limited to the front end and a popped bead on the back tire. As long as there isn’t any damage to the oil or transmission pan, this rod should hopefully be back on it’s feet soon.

Make that a double ‘ ouch ‘
The first because the guy broke his toy in traffic
The second because regardless of being broken or not his toy is pretty hard on the eyes .
Real hot rods always are.
Jeez GS that’s a bit harsh…whats so wrong with it? its got an altered vibe to it – I suppose you don’t like altereds either? In all the negative comments you come out with I often wonder what fabulous bit of automotive nirvana you drive….or are you that guy who just puts everyone elses stuff down?
He’ll be back on the road in no time
didn’t they know we stopped using wood back in the 1870’s
