PRI 2012: CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE ANNOUNCES 2013 COPO Production!! New engine options!

We’re here live at the 2012 PRI Show in Orlando, Florida and the news is already breaking. At a morning press conference, Chevrolet Performance announced that they are rolling out new LS crate engines and other driveline components.

For Camaro owners a slew of new part numbers for fifth gens will be available like 1LE suspension pieces, ZL1 brakes, and a full ZL1 heavy duty driveline kit. That’s stuff like beefed up half shafts, driveshaft, etc. Crazily, lots of this stuff will keep the factory warranty intact.

The Sonic B-Spec was on display which will be a factory built road racer. Chevy Performance will also offer a full line of B-Spec parts for people wanting to upgrade their street cars.

In COPO news, 2013 will bring another 69 drag race COPOs. Engine options will remain the same. Also, GM is launching their COPO cookbook so that any Camaro owner can build their own COPO by purchasing the factory pieces. These “cookbooks” have been highly successful in the past with versions dedicated to Ecotec engines and other programs.

The other cool news is the forthcoming addition of new engine options for lower level stock and super stock competition. Look for a 375hp 396 LS engine and a 300hp 350ci LS option as well!
