A while back we introduced you to 2008 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Eddie Kraweic’s bitchin’ drag radial project car. It’s being built by DMC Racing in Halifax, Massachusetts to SFI 25.3 specs. Eddie recently dropped us a line to share some news on the engine combo and show us the killer rendering he had done of the car which carries the name, “Project Radial-ation”. The motor is going to be a killer LS combo. Read on for the details!
To start with, this mother will be making more than 2,000hp. The guys behind the motor are Don Bailey and Billy Briggs. Once the car is constructed Don will also handle the tuning duties. Billy will be doing the assembly on the engine. Thus far, Eddie has decided on some killer pieces. Starting with the block, he’ll be using one of the new RHS Tall Deck Aluminum pieces and a set of insanely trick Performance Induction canted valve heads. The heads will be equipped with Xceldyne Titanium intake valves and Inconel exhaust valves. PSI will be supplying the springs and a Jesel shaft rocker setup will be used in conjunction with their keyed lifters, and belt drive. The guts of the motor will be comprised of CP Pistons turbo pistons, Carillo H-Beam rods, and a crank from SP Crankshafts. Dailey Engineering will supply one of their killer oil pumps and a billet oil pan. An ATI Super Damper will handle the vibration cancellation duties. Backing that killer will be an ATI SuperGlide 4.
We’re headed to the chassis shop at the end of the week for a photo update as we watch the 2000 Camaro go from a street stocker into one of the quickest drag radial cars on planet Earth.
For the time being, drool over the rendering below!
