There’s more than enough ways to make fun of third-generation Camaro owners. Mullet-mobiles, redneck Ferrari…there really isn’t anything wrong with third-gens that wasn’t wrong with cars in general in the 1980s, and there were some bright spots with Chevrolet’s pony car. But when you come across things like this Craigslist listing for a 1986 Camaro Z28, it’s hard to resist the jokes.
I have a 86z28 camero. This car has no rust or dents, it does need paint. The inside is in good condition, it has three race tacs. A B&m magashifter, no rips are holes. 3.73 gears. Positraction. Jegs eletric fuelpump(700horse). Holly fuel regulater and tac. Power 2 350 from phoenix engine (new). I hace specs and dino information dates and Times.motor is 4bolt main. Custom crank, custom centerline boring . Look at pics -info sheet . Th350 with a shift kit-ready. Motor or tranny not in car. Painted engine compartment black-looks good!. 3850$-complete7000$
I’m not even going to attempt to decipher that code. And it’s not like the photos help any…they appear to have been taken with a first-generation flip phone, or maybe with a potato, I don’t know. The clearest pictures do give some credit to the engine being a fresh unit, but the “dino” sheet is unreadable without a magnifying glass and the one picture of the car doesn’t have me believing that my $3850 is being spent wisely. I’m not going to suggest that drugs were involved, but I wouldn’t doubt that there’s some alcohol being consumed in heroic quantities. Would you pay nearly four grand for a pile of parts and one sketchy picture of a 1980s Camaro?

I have to admit…. as an owner of 5 different 3rd and 4th gens over the years… I have searched Camero, just to find ads no one responds to and you can low ball and get stuff for a cheap price.
I dunno, ‘Cummings’ is right up there with it. I don’t even own a diesel of any sort, and it still eats me up every time I see it.
