Here are Parts 2 and 3 of the 1951 Ford Project. Not everything is exciting when building a new project, but it’s all got to get done right? Part 2 has the truck’s new frame getting cleaned up, brakes redone, and prepped for the shortening to fit under the F1. Part 3 has the chassis getting shortened and some mock up going on so we can see what this new project will actually look like for the first time. Check it out.
Brent at Half Ass Kustoms just finished up a cool 1937 Ford Pickup project and is jumping right into a new project as well. This one also happens to be a Ford, but it’s going to be quite a bit different than the previous one. This here is going to be LS swapped, but not just by stuffing one between the frame rails of this 1951 Ford truck. Nope, this time he’s not only doing an LS Swap but also a chassis swap! But what chassis is going to donate itself to the cause?
You’ll have to watch the video like the rest of us to find out, but rest assured this is going to be a cool project. If you are looking to see an ultra high end project going together, you are in the wrong place. But if you want to see a guy put a truck together from top to bottom, using simple techniques and incredible work ethic, then this is the build for you. Brent is a machine, and by coming out to work on his projects nearly every night of the week, he gets a lot done in a very short period of time compared to most of us.
Check it out, be inspired, and let us know what you think of this new Half Ass Kustoms project.
Part 2 Video Description:
Not a very exciting video but we clean up the chassis and install new brakes and remove the s10 mounts off the chassis.
Part 3 Video Description:
I think we get a lot done in this video, first we pull all the fuel/brake lines and then shorten the S10 frame to fit the 51 Ford F1. After that we disassemble the Ford and mock it up on the newly shortened S10 chassis.
that clamp was installed at the GM dealer as a retro-fit because the wheel cyl.would turn
