Project Bottle Rocket: Uncle Tony’s Four-Gear Coronet Is Out Of Hibernation!

Over the winter months, I’ve popped down into Tennessee to join Tony DeFeo on his Sunday night Facebook Live Q&A sessions. Oddly enough, for someone who loves to highlight himself as a quiet background figure, I can apparently run my mouth stupid with random trivia knowledge for hours on end while his followers keep feeding in the questions. And one of the things they always asked about involves “Bottle Rocket”, Uncle Tony’s 1972 Dodge Coronet that I have sincere jealousy over. If you don’t know what this B-body Mopar is all about, it’s one part diet program, one part nitrous mule 318, and four gears that are meant to be abused. I’ve been foaming at the mouth to see this car in action ever since he dragged it home and got to work, and as of press time, he’s expecting to be at Beech Bend’s opening day test and tune on March 1st, 2020.

But in between now and then, there are some issues that need addressing, and some more modifications that Uncle Tony and Lamchop want to make happen before the Coronet hits the track and hits the bottle heavily. Pardon the wind noise…trust me, it’s been nothing but wind around our region lately…and check out their plans for the perfect moonshine car below:
