Hard core off-road rigs are awesome. Whether they are for rock crawling, mud racing, hill climbs, or desert racing, they are awesome. I’m partial to desert off-road racing because so much of of that world is based in SoCal, but anyone would be once they see a truck hauling ass across the desert while the suspension is soaking up 30″ whoops like they are candy. And this latest project from MCD sure promises to check all the boxes if that sounds good to you.
It’s got a full tube chassis designed for all the suspension travel, plus it is being powered by a turbocharged Lamborghini V10 with a sequential gearbox behind it. And if that wasn’t enough, this thing is bougie and is getting a Range Rover body for good measure. That way you can haul ass from SoCal to Vegas on dirt and then pull into the Venetian and toss the keys to the valet for a fancy night out. I’d laugh and gladly dress up for that ride.
We’ve got the first two videos in the build series right here, so check them out and let us know what you think of this project. I think it is super rad and inspiring.
