Old wagons are cool in all of their forms, but when said wagon had been warmed up with respect to performance, the cool meter gets pegged. Such is the case with this kick ass 1970 Chevelle wagon that now wears SS trim. It isn’t a road rocket by any means, but you could pin the kids back in their car seats with no problem.
Sporting a 327ci small block that has been rebuilt with the addition of a gear drive (extra noisy gears?), an Edelbrock intake and carb, headers, and HEI, the car should make all the right noises even though you’ll be on the wrong end of most drag races. To us, the real appeal with this car is the awesome Astro blue paint, SS-stripes, wheels and red line tires. This is one drop dead gorgeous cruiser! With a 2.90 gear ratio it is probably decent on gas too!
The interior has been freshened with fourth generation Camaro buckets and matching console along with a nice stereo to provide the tunes. The suspension has been upgraded as well using components from Edelbrock. Finally, this wagon has the cool tailgate that can both open like a pick up truck’s gate or swing open to the side like a giant door.
So is it just us or would this be a totally bad ass family hauler and Power Tour chariot?
