There are lots of cool and fast doorslammers for sale on Racing Junk, but few of them come with three different nitrous snorting big block Chevy engines of varying displacements. The seller wants $100,000 for the car, the engines, space transmissions, and a trailer to haul it all around in. It seems steep until you look into the the details.
So as far as the motors go, there is literally small medium and large, although each of the mills would rocket your ass down the track like an uncorked JATO. The “small” engine is a measley little 555ci piece with Dart 360 heads, a Callies crank, Eagle rods and it is all based on a Bowtie block. The “medium” engine is a 632ci beast that is based on a tall deck Bowtie block, has a Bryant crank, Brooks rods, 18-degree Big Chief heads, a Jesel valvetrain, and is dry sumped. The “large” motor is truly hairy. 731ci with a 5.5 inch Bryant crank, GRP rods, Profiler 12 degree heads, Prodiler intake, twin 1150 carbs, and a cam with nearly an inch of lift! OOGA BOOGA!
The chassis is a chrome moly piece that the seller claims is certified down to 6.0-seconds in the quarter mile. The driveline is all top shelf stuff with a bomb proof Coan transmission, Mark Williams rear, etc.
$100,000 is a huge pile of cash, but in reality, you’re buying three different cars here! Imagine having to decide between those three motors on a weekly basis. Yes, please!
Racing Junk: 1990 Camaro Door Slammer

Nice. A $100K car and a $50K mobile home. He has his priorities right. 🙂
He’s prolly selling the car and engines so that he can build hisself a proper house, seeing as how he’s got a passle o’ land to do it on.
The engines alone would set you back AT LEAST twice the asking price! A sweet deal, to say the least!
