When an awesome idea gets fed to a professional that can execute it, great things happen. This Jeep is without a doubt the coolest Jeep we have ever seen. We know about the drag race Wranglers and the old timey Jeep floppers, but nothing is cooler than this Cherokee with a damned 1500hp blown alky engine in it. Equipped for racing at the sand drags the thing has massive scooper tires, a full tube chassis, and gearing that would make a bulldozer blush.
All of that junk aside, just look at the only photo we were able to find of the truck. The brilliance in this thing is the fact that the body is 100% stock. It looks to us by the cut on the front fender that the nose flips up in order to service the rip snorting beast that sits between the frame rails, but unless you looked you’d never know. Just the way the 36x16x16 Super Scoop tires tuck into the rear wheelwells, and the use of the stock tires and wheels up front grabs us by the nuts and won’t let go!
We’d love to convert it to asphalt use by bolting on slicks, dropping the 7.30 rear gear for something reasonable, and resetting the suspension up. Yes, the mild steel chassis would limit our ultimate ET potential, but who gives a rat’s ass? The 468ci BBC with a huffer is claimed to be good for 1500 with the fuel and boost all in.
