Jim Yates is a two time NHRA World Champ in the Pro Stock division. Currently he works with up and comer Shane Gray as opposed to operating his own team as he had done in years past. We saw that Jim was selling his whole operation, or what remains of it. The ad is pretty comprehensive and ranges from the team hauler to a dyno room and an amazing array of equipment and parts.
We’d say that you shouldn’t be shedding tears for Jim about this sale. He’s been having a great time and much success with Shane Gray. Jim keeps his NHRA blog updated frequently and there’s certainly been an upbeat and positive tone and message coming from it from as long as we have been reading Jim’s dispatches.
Some cool stuff to check out in the ad are the wide array of gear ratios included in the group of parts, the different springs used both front and rear and the detail that was put into the posting. Hell, every nut and bolt is accounted for! People wonder how Pro Stock teams spend a couple million a year to run their programs. Just take a peek at what is needed to simply keep the operation moving on a week to week basis and you’ll understand! Amazingly, we bet that Jim has unloaded a bunch of stuff to people on the inside of the NHRA Pro Stock scene before listing this ad. Essentially, you are looking at the left overs!
