Day of Freaks: A Blown Keith Black Hemi Powered, Tube Chassis, Tractor Tire Equipped, Mud Truck

That’s right kids, this week’s Saturday content will be focused around freaks. Some good, some bad, and some just too weird to figure out. This truck falls under the good category. While lots of snobby jerks want to discount the world of mud bogging and mud racing this huge Ford is proof that at the higher levels of competition, there’s just as much money and engineering tied up into the vehicles as you’d see at the local drag strip or stock car track. In the case of this particular truck, way more.

The body is all fiberglass and the frame is 100% tube, just like would be found in a drag car, rock crawler, or similar. There are hundreds of hours tied up into its construction. Outside of the huge tires and axles, the rear beef here is under the fiberglass hood. Power for this truck is provided by a blown, alcohol burning, Keith Black hemi. At the absolute minimum this thing is making 1500hp but when we read that it has a 14-71 blower on it, we think that this engine is making 2,000 to 2,500 when set on puree.

This truck is for sale on RacingJunk right now and the seller is looking for $55,000 turn key. Yes, a lot of money, but that’s a whole lot of truck! A Ford Raptor is right there after all the taxes, fees, and junk and this truck could crush and leap three of them at a whack. DO Want!
