We’re not going to lie, BMW M3s are always sitting somewhere on our “want” list. Anyone who wants to make claims as to how the BMW M3 isn’t awesome to drive can suck it, because they are. We had friends in college with old ones and those things took punishment like you wouldn’t believe and kept coming back for more. One guy in RacingJunk has the most BS approved M3 we’ve ever seen and it could be yours for the asking price of $45,000. The car is a road racer set up to compete in the NASA Super Unlimited class. It has been ‘caged, modified in a number of ways, and stuff full of 383ci of stroked LS6 Chevrolet power. The mill is controlled with Holley EFI and is topped with a bad ass FAST composite intake manifold. There’s plenty of power to haul this stripped down, wide body M3 around a road course and swallow Mustangs like finger sandwiches.
The car is equipped with Moton suspension pieces and the seller wants to shake the car down, get some video, and then sell it, according to his ad. With a six speed transmission and a 4.27 rear gear ratio this thing must really glue the driver to the seat when pulling through the gears. The seller claims that the gearing and hp are there push the car over 200mph. Bonneville anyone?
The car was built over three years and the seller says that it weighs 2500lbs. In his last update to the ad, he claims that the car has been faster in testing than the Corvettes, Porsches, and Vipers that it will compete against. We’d love to get some exhaust, working lights, and other trinkets on it and try to sneak it through state inspection, then go clean house! This is a really nicely done car and we’d sell a limb to own it. We’d sell less than that for a driving stint during a 12 or 24 endurance race, though. Name your price!

RACING JUNK AD: 1995 M3 ROAD RACER WITH BORED AND STROKED LS6 POWER!

“Suck eggs” if you don’t think that is a cool car. M-3’s handling with LS power; the best of both worlds.
Fantastic car. I would love an LS powered E36; I’ve been monitoring prices on Craigslist. This one?
Not to take away from the most amazing version I’ve seen yet, but realistically, that’s too much car for me; I want one that looks totally stock and maybe makes 350 whp to use as a daily.
