The idea of having a true multi-use car is appealing to every gearhead. One machine that can carry you to the burger joint, burn tires at the strip, and run stupid MPHs at LSR events is something we all dream about. All indications point to the fact that this ex-NASCAR Monte Carlo is that car! We found it while creeping on the LSR listings at RacingJunk the other day.
For $25,000 the seller is pitching a hot rod that is street legal (in some states…we’re adding that), has run nearly 200mph at Bonneville, sports a 559hp LS1 engine, is an actual NASCAR spec chassis, and would be able to trade punches at high speed open road races (think Silver State Classic, Spectre 341 Challenge). That’s a bunch of stats that make us start checklists to see which non-essential organs are most valuable on the black market.
What say you? Is this a kick ass deal or are we off the mark?

If you want to go fast it would seem that something like this would be the least expensive way to go. Around here (North Carolina) ex-NASCAR stuff is readily available. Does it have a class in SCTA events? I know the ECTA has a circle car track just for ex-roundy round cars, but I did not think the SCTA did. I guess they run it Time Only.
Tell me this wouldn’t be a great car to raise ___ with !
Something’s fishy here. I want a followup if it sells.
If there’s nothing to be suspicious about, then this seems like a real deal. In my parts, you’d expect that kind of price for just a roller, no engine.
