Roadside Find: A Mopar Trar Built Tough With Ford Stuff

(Photos by Greg Rourke) – Greg is quickly becoming the king of discovering oddities here at BS. Last week we showed you the jet powered mobility scooter that he spied and shot photos of and today it is a wildly priced Chrysler bodied trar that sits on a Ford truck chassis. We’re not sure how much alcohol it takes to look at an old Fury wagon and think, “This thing would be BOSS on top of that old Ford truck frame and running gear over there!” It would seem like a terminal volume of hooch would be involved in that level of decision making.

The wheelbase of the wagon must have been a dead nuts match for the Ford truck because the big mud tires are just about perfectly centered in the openings. Also, take note of the sheet metal air pan that the air filter sits in. We’re thinking that is less for drawing in cool air from the cowl area and more to protect the carb from taking in a mouthful of water or mud when taking this creation out into the swamp or local ‘sippi hole. Also look at the rear gas filler area. It looks like lots of gasoline has poured out of the filler neck causing the paint in that area of get damaged.

At least the guy is only asking $5,600 bucks. Oh wait, the guy is asking $5,600. That seems to be a little steep…on this planet anyway.

Scroll down to see some hot Mopar Ford trar mashup action!
