Santa Please: A 1967 Chevy Camaro Funny Car

Santa, we’ve been good this year. OK maybe that’s a stretch, but we haven’t committed any felonies. That’s the truth. OK, it’s kind of the truth. We’ve not been convicted of any felonies this year. Anyway, we’re asking for a few simple things this year and this 1967 Camaro Funny Car is one of them. You don’t even need to bring it in the house. Just leave it in the driveway.

This car is being sold on RacingJunk, and it’s beyond bitchin’, it’s damn near sublime. It sports an original body, a 427ci Chevy with ZL-1 heads, an 8-71 Bowers blower, a Dedenbear cased PowerGlide, and an Olds rearend. It IS a period perfect Funny Car.

You can see through the windshield opening that there’s a big wide cage in the center of the car, and according to the ad, the chassis tubes you see are the actual original tubes that have been there since the beginning. Is is a Logghe Bros. chassis? The ad doesn’t say, but some faint clues point that way.

The cars of this era cars are our absolute favorites. The lack of glass and open windows make for a great show for the fans in the stands. You can see the driver stabbin’ and steerin’ all the way down the track.

We’d say for $50K this car is a steal. Santa, load ‘er up and drop a barrel of nitro with the car while you’re at it!
