Our friends at MSD have rolled out some great new stuff at this year’s SEMA show. The biggest item is their 40th anniversary 6AL ignition. This cool throwback piece combines the killer styling of the 1960s with the best of today’s ignition technology.
The boxes are limited editions; only 4,000 are being made. Once they’re sold, they’re gone. The boxes are numbered, and they feature a specially cast case with the original MSD logo. We had a quick discussion with Todd at MSD yesterday, and it looks like we’re going to try to have a contest to award one of BangShift.com’s loyal readers with one of these cool ignition controls!
In other MSD news, they rolled out a cool “Start-and-Step Timing Control” that allows the user to pull the timing out of high-compression engines to aid starting and help save starters by allowing the motor to turn over easily. The unit also features a single-stage step retard.
