We need to get into a NASCAR press room one of these days. They have to be doing something good for the writers who follow the series because the majority seem to be incapable of acknowledging the short comings and potential problems for NASCAR.
Pete Pistone seems to be someone who has sampled the Kool Aid in his day. He wrote a story on CBSSports.com that takes up beef with Larry McReynolds, Kyle Petty, and Jimmy Spencer for being “negative” when talking about NASCSAR during a recent round table discussion.
How dare these three men who have made a living in the sport for decades comment on its current state and where it is headed? Pistone gives some really weak excuses and generalized excuses as to why NASCAR is not setting the world aflame anymore.
