Site of the Week: The SEMA Action Network

Site of the Week: The SEMA Action Network

We’ve been spending lots of time recently talking about the glitz and pomp of the 2009 SEMA Show here at BangShift.com so we thought it was hyper important to remind everyone of the really hard work that SEMA does, which involves protecting the very existence of this hobby we know and love. The SEMA Action Network is an organization you need to join and follow literally every day.

Every day you ask? Yes. Right now, in fact. Both Massachusetts and Pennsylvania have bills working their way through the halls of government that would essentially outlaw every aftermarket exhaust system known to man.

This is real stuff that is happening right now and we as hot rodders, off roaders, drag racers, etc, can no longer afford to “let someone else do it.” The time it now to become part of the growing number of people who are working to protect their interests in the car hobby. The SEMA-SAN is the place to do it.

The website is chock full of information, tips, and tools to help you get involved in protecting this hobby and our rights to modify our vehicles. You can choose by state to see legislation (both good and bad) that you can either support or work to block. There is a big red button right there on the front page of the site. Click it and sign up. Activate yourselfe, your car club, your racing pals, and anyone else who loves old cars and fun.

If we sound alarmist, it’s because we’re trying to. Join!
