We’ve been hearing rumors of a new ultra high performance tire from the guys at Mickey Thompson for some time now and when we were tipped off to this photographic proof of its existence, we got giddy like kids. Mickey Thompson certainly has a long established name in drag racing, truck and off road tires, rubber intended for hot rods and pro street cars, etc, but up until now they have not offered a true ultra high performance radial tire designed for cars that turn and stop hard. From what we’re hearing out of the mouths of people in the know, these tires are capable of hanging with the likes of the Michelin Pilot series, which are some of the baddest street legal high performance tires on the market.

This segment of the marketplace is a tough one to bust into and the guys at MT have spent a long time working on this tire to make it do everything they say it will and probably a little more. We think that they totally look the business and from what our tipster told us, they have grip like you read about.

We’re going to beat the bushes at MT and see what we can find out about with respect to the details of these tires. We know one thing, we want to try them out and see just how grippy they are!
