State Troopers Stop Runaway Horse and Buggy, Neither Horse Nor Buggy Made By Toyota

We don’t think NHSTA will be getting involved in the investigation of this runaway vehicle because the root cause may have been an errant bag of oats, but Pennsylvania state troopers recently used two squad cars to stop a horse and buggy that was on the lam. Luckily no passengers were aboard, although Californian James Sikes (the hoax Prius guy) may somehow be involved.

The incident happened in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and the result of stopping the horse and buggy was some damage to the two police cars. The horse came out unscathed and there was no word on damage to the buggy either.

We’re placing ourselves in the shoes of the responding officers, but we bet it was kind of fun to wrangle the horse using their cruisers. National Highway Safety Transportation Administration leader Ray Lahood was unavailable for comment, and no word has been leaked as to when the horse will be appearing in front of a congressional committee. Someone has to pay for this!
