Right off the bat you should know that this story took place in the world capitol of odd news: Florida. The AP is reporting that a 30-year-old man named Michael Ray Ekes was arrested by authorities on the suspicion that he stole a 1998 Dodge Durango. When the deputies descended on Ekes, he was at home, playing the Grand Theft Auto video game. Simply amazing.
Adding to the fun is the fact that Ekes was out of jail on bond for another charge of grand theft auto. The Sherriff’s department didn’t just pin the car theft charge on this fellow. They also socked him with burglary and drug possession charges.
Our opinion is that this gent needs a good long stay in the greybar motel, or at least somewhere that doesn’t have any cars to nab. You, Mr. Michael Ray Ekes, are an epic loser.
