One of the neatest gearhead stories of the last few years is that of John Lipori and Ingeune, the Buick bodied and powered funny car has dad raced in the late 1960’s. John managed to buy the car which is the world’s only Buick powered nitro funny car and has been working to restore it back to it’s racing trim. The bad ass car was recently featured in Hot Rod Magazine and we’ve been on the story since John let it be known that he bought the car back.
Here’s the original item we ran back in October of 2009 talking about the car. John has updated it multiple times with photos, it is a great read.
John has gone the extra mile and produced killer t-shirts that honor the original shirts worn by the guys back in the day when they ran the car. Featuring the vintage Brooklyn Speed and Machine logo on the front and the Ingeune script on the back, these are cool threads.
John is selling the shirts for $25.00 a pop shipped to the continental USA. He’ll take checks and if you want to pay with PayPal it’ll be another $2 per shirt. He can be contacted by email via Musclecarjohn@hotmail.com or snail mail by writing to
