There are too many companies out there making abrasives for sanding, cutting, and grinding to count, but we all know that 3M sets the bar. I’m as guilty as anyone about buying cheap 4.5-inch cutting wheels and flap discs, and whenever I get into a groove where I’m doing a lot of cutting or grinding I end up invariably wondering if the cheap stuff is costing me time and money. I’ve bought name-brand abrasives from companies like 3M and Norton, but never really done any back-to-back testing. Thankfully, someone is and this video is going to show what you are really getting with 3M and Benchmark, as they are put to the test against each other.
Video Description:
Typically, when it comes to cutting, sanding, or grinding, 3M sets the standard in performance. However, with that performance usually comes a high price as well. Such is the case with these 3M Cubitron II Roloc sanding discs. We’re comparing the 3M discs to the Benchmark Abrasives Roloc Sanding Discs that you can purchase on Amazon. Actually, we purchased both brands on Amazon, but the Benchmark was much cheaper than the 3M Cubitron II sanding discs.
