Anyone who visits us here at BANGshift on a regular basis knows that I have a thing for metal fabrication. That means that I not only share videos with you guys that show how to shape and fabricate parts for your project cars, but also the tools that will make building cars and trucks easier and more fun. I have highlighted several welding and fixture tables over the years and am always looking since I plan on building myself a new one before too long. In this video, we’re going to see something that doesn’t even sound possible. And then you realize how smart it is.
Now this isn’t going to be a giant 4×8 welding table with a jillion fixture holes, but it is going to be one of the most creative ways to repurpose some pretty smart stuff. I like this and am not going to lie that this one might end up in my arsenal of fabrication tools and equipment if I can find the right donor.
Check it out.
That’s pretty smart (he did good, finding that size). I’d definitely bolt it to a stout frame, shimmed to be flat, and it would make a good enough welding/assembly table for most needs. You -will- have to deal with wise-ass comments from shop visitors but whaddo they know. This said by a guy who has one of those expensive tables.
