Anyone who has owned a car or truck with crap paint has felt the pain of knowing just how much it costs to have a car painted and not being able to spend it. At that point the ideas of painting it yourself start crossing your mind and you start checking out rattle can paint jobs. That can work, there is no doubt, but really painting a car with affordable paint and quality prep will likely result in a much better result in the long run. But what do you do if you have never painted a car before? You watch YouTube of course!
In this series from Paint Society you are going to get all the info you need for doing a complete paint job on your own car or truck. Yes there are techniques that will likely require some practice, but if you follow these steps I think you can get there. I don’t have room to do this myself yet, but I can tell you that this is the plan on one of my own cars, with the hopes that it will make me feel confident in doing a complete paint job on a couple other projects too. We shall see.
