Tube Bumpers have been commonplace on off-road rigs for a long time, and for good reason. They work, they are clean, and they offer a much lower profile that makes them harder to hang up on rocks while off-road. If you are not familiar with rock crawling, then you might not realize what rock sliders are, but they do exactly what they sound like. When rock crawling, on hard trails with big boulders, rock sliders save your rocker panels and doors and allow you to slide past them or over them rather than getting hung up. The cool thing about rock sliders is also that you can make them out of pretty much any shape of steel that you like. So if you want round tubes, like these you can. If you prefer square or rectangular tubes, that’s okay too.
In the video below you are going to see tube bumpers and tube rock sliders come together on this cool Toyota 4-runner project. Copy them for your ride, or use them as inspiration for your own design.
