Headlights can make or break a build. Period. Even on more modern builds, like muscle cars and street machines. If you install the wrong headlight bulb then it can ruin how a car or truck looks. But on a traditional or vintage hot rod, using the wrong headlights can absolutely destroy an otherwise perfect build. With that said, there is more to it than that as well. Because the 1930’s through the 1950’s were such an important time in the evolution of hot rod parts, there are not only factory parts but also aftermarket ones that came on the scene in those eras of hot rod building. When combined with trends of different eras, choosing the right headlights can definitely date a hot rod build.
