We sometimes forget how much manufacturing has changed, especially in the automotive world, since everything is so automated nowadays. It’s hard to walk through the Corvette manufacturing plant in Bowling Green Kentucky and think about how they did it back in 1953. The same goes for even older stuff, like the Model T Ford. Yes they had stamping equipment for some stuff, but things were still built by hand in comparison to today. And remember, the Model T Ford was one of the first cars ever built on an assembly line. It pioneered the practice and change automotive manufacturing forever. But man was it slow compared to today.
