Paint Tech: How To Build A Removable Paint Booth In Your Garage At Home!

Years ago the guys at Car Craft built a temporary spray booth in their garage at home so they could paint a car and I always loved the idea. If you have a big enough shop then there are several temporary shelter options as well, but with a standard garage you don’t have as much room so you need to be efficient with your use of space. Some carefully applied plastic, tarps, etc can really do a good job of keeping the paint in the area you want it in, but you can get even fancier if you are so inclined and would like to use the “booth” more than once.

That’s what Fitzee is doing in this video. He’s taking the best of several booths he’s seen put together online and then making his own. He’s put together a setup with some lumber, hooks, tarps, filters, and more so that he can have a booth with a door that filters the air and everything. It’s a pretty simple but cool setup and should inspire you to build something like this for your own painting projects. What do you think?
