A good bench vise is absolutely critical to any shop, and they can be quite expensive for a really good one. Of course, there are cheap models out there, which are totally fine for the average weekend use or whatever, but if you want something really cool and special the usual choice is to go out and find something for sale at a Garage Sale or on Craigslist or Marketplace or something. Of course, buying one of these used vises does sometimes mean you’ll have to start doing some work on it in order to make it work perfect and look great. But that can be a fun little restoration project don’t you think?
