There are several ways to fill holes in sheet metal, and several ways to make the patches themselves. When the holes are perfectly round, filling them is certainly easier than if they are a weird shape, and here is a tool that will help you make perfect circle sheet metal plugs for those perfect circle holes you want to fill. Keep in mind, that if you have an odd-shaped hole, it is often best to make that hole a little bigger if doing so will make it round. So if you have a funny little oblong hole to fill, drill it out with a step bit to make it round and larger so you can then make a perfect round plug to match. This tool will help you make that perfect round plug and you can do it with some scrap, an ultra cheap set of punches, and a couple tools you already have in the garage.
