I was impressed with this video on shop organization, not because every single thing was mind blowing, or because every single idea would apply to my own garage, but because there were a handful of ideas that I really want to use in the future. Hell, some of the things in this video, like the receive mounts for vices and such, I’ve been using for 20 years. But others, like the swinging bench grinder mounts, really made me happy. There is a lot going on, in a not so huge amount of space, and the organization is pretty insane. The man featured in this video uses the saying “If everything has it’s place, there is a place for everything.” and it’s something we’ve all heard before. But the reason we’ve all heard it is because it is true. LOL The more places you have to put things away, the less likely you are to have them sitting out and the easier it will be to find them when you need them.
Check it out and let us know which of these organizational hacks, tips, and tricks you most appreciate and would like to use in your space, cause I know there are several I’m going to start using.
Great video. Really a great setup Doug has. Thanks for sharing these hacks. I liked all of them but my fav is probably the bench grinder mounts or the pvc holders for the cordless tools.
Lots of good ideas in there!!
I changed to Steel garbage cans (used the small 15 or 20g oil barrels) with tight fitting sheet metal lids, because an open top garbage can in any shop where welding and or grinding takes place is not going to end well…….
The high mounted vacuums seem legit until you have to empty them.
Brian: Yah, it will be a PITA to empty, but that’s only once in a while, having the vac on the floor, you will constantly be pushing it out of the way, cuzz there’s only so many square feet of floor space……
