Vises can be expensive. I know that when I’ve been in the market for one, I looked at both used vintage Wilton’s, new high dollar vises, and cheap discount vises as well. Ultimately my budget didn’t allow me to afford any of the “good” vises and instead I bought a mid-priced smaller vise that would get me by until my budget changed.
I’ve got to get a new vice for the new shop when it’s done so we’ll see what I choose then, but this video here from Project Farm will certainly help me decide what might work for me.
Check it out.
Video Description:
Brands: Heuer, Ridgid, Yost, Wilton, Baileigh, Irwin, Forward, Central Forge, Olympia, Myoyay. Vises tested for clamp load, durability from impact, anvil durability, and clamp load failure point. I purchased all of the vises to ensure an unbiased review.
