Cordless tools have taken over many home garages, as well as commercial workshops in the last several years. As batteries and brushless motors get better and better, there is a lot to be said for the performance that they bring to the table. The biggest question that comes from folks debating whether to go with cordless tools is whether or not they can keep up with the air powered or plug-in electric versions that have been a staple in garages and workshops for decades. In the case of cutoff tools, air has been the gold standard forever and lots of people don’t believe you can beat them.
Last week we showed the Torque Test Channel die grinder testing where they pitted air die grinders vs cordless. In order to do that they came up with a dyno that could test each one, and that same setup is going to be used for the cutoff tools being tested here. Check them out below.
