Thank You BangShift.com Contributors! We Owe You For All The Crashes, Wheelstands, Stories, and Coverage.

WE RULE!!! No, really, we do… BangShift.com is the coolest place on the web because we have the greatest guys and gals ever contributing to what we do. Each and every week throughout 2012, Brian and I were astonished by the number of emails that our guys, and new guys, were sending to us. Our Drop Boxes were full of photos, our emails were stuffed with stories, and yet somehow each and every one of them was thanking US for letting them send us content. That is why WE rule. Brian and I may have our names on the title, but there is some shared ownership here at BangShift.com. Each of you contributors, and each of you readers, have some ownership in this place. And it truly means a lot to Brian and I that you want to help us.

And it’s not just our regular guys either! We have new guys each week that send in tips on the Content Submission page, or take photos and ask if they can be one of the cool kids and send theirs in for a blog item or gallery. And every time we are thrilled to talk to you and listen to your story and welcome you into the fold. We’re still the little guy in comparison to some of the media monsters, but we’re not going to stop until we take over the world. And we’re glad to see that all of you want to help.

So…from the bottom of our hearts…Brian and I want to thank each and every contributor to BangShift.com this year. We have listed those who submitted multiple galleries, stories, etc below. There are hundreds more of you who have submitted ideas, videos, links, and more and we also need to thank you all. And to all of you readers, please thank these guys in the comment section below as well.

When I was a little kid, and when I had the 50 cents for a Hot Rod or Car Craft, I would spend hours looking at the photos. They often had the settings and camera the photographer used. I didn’t know what they meant, or what a Hasselblad was, but I knew I wanted to do something like that. The first race I attempted to shoot, I learned why not to shoot directly into the sun, and also why not to drop Dad’s camera. Then life happened for 30 years or so, I knew I would never make a living as a photographer anyway. Then I found Freiburgers Junkyard right at the end of it’s existence. Brian used a couple blog tips I sent in, and then a few photo galleries. The boys vouched for my longtime friend and photo partner Bob Chiluk and I to get credentials for a few events. Then people would come up to us with “Hey! You’re the BangShift guys! You gotta see my car/track/shop!” When I went to introduce myself to the owners of Great Lakes Dragaway, I barely got my name out before they said “Yeah, we know who you guys are, and we dig what BangShift is doing”. At crowded car shows instead of waiting for 10 minutes to get a clear shot, car owners would marshal the crowd out of the way so we could shoot their car. Shop owners would give us the run of the place, often staying late into the evening so we could shoot everything and get their stories on each project.
So yes Brian and Chad, thank YOU for allowing us to send in content. You cats do, in fact, rule. This has truly been a dream for many years to be able to do what I’m doing right now. And being able to do it with a friend of 40 years makes it even better.

I followed the travels of Freiburger when we left Hot Rod to light the fire on CarJunkieTV.com, and was logged in there as soon as the lights were turned on, and have been here ever since.

What other site on the web has the family/brotherhood feel and bond of BS.com? How many sites can move cars, trucks and people across the country? How many car hobby sites have help the bonding of a man and a woman become husband and wife? Where else can the “little guy” feel like such a big part of the team?

    BANGshift.com, THATS WHERE!!!!

A big THANK YOU to first off, David Freiburger for hoisting the sails, and secondly and most importantly, to Brian and Chad, for keeping wind in those sails all these years, and to all of the members of the greatest site on the web.

    Heres to 2013 and beyond!!!!!!
