We’re pretty sure you have seen the wild video of Adam Flamholc’s mega pro mod wreck at St Louis last weekend, but have you seen the near mirror image crash that happened in England involving pro mod racer Graham Ellis? Ellis was making a final run in a Superbird pro mod he has sold at Santa Pod when things were horribly wrong and like Flamholc, his car was completely destroyed and completed a very nasty series of snap rolls that can prove deadly. Thankfully, both racers were wearing all of their protective gear like HANS devices (or something similar) and although they were both battered and bruised, they will live to race another day. But there is a bizarre twist to the story of these two men that goes beyond the fact that they both crashed.

So, the connection part that is really wild came to us from an English BangShifter named Ian Turburville (who races front engine dragsters which makes him automatically cooler than Chad or I). Ian passed this information along to us. Pretty freaking wild –
Side note to the pro mod crashes and this get weird…Adam Flamohlc has a pro-mod and an alky funny car, Graham Ellis has a pro-mod and an alky funny car. Graham had sold his pro mod to a Dutch team and was on one last run for the hell of it. Like you saw in the video, he crashed big time at the euro finals Sept 7th. Graham had already bought Adam’s funny car as a replacement for his. Adam suffers an almost identical crash in his pro-mod a couple of weeks later. They are both in hospital but will both be released any day now with no life threatening injuries, thank God. Kinda Twilight Zone stuff don’t you think?
We’d say that is very much Twilight Zone kind of stuff.
even more twilight zone
dam flamholc brought peter farbers Daytona as a replacement for his wrecked pro mod
my car was also a chip king Daytona body
Hi Graham, trying to get an update on how you’re doing but news seems scarce. Hope your’re recovering well and plans for next year are afoot??
