The Detroit Not-o-Rama: A Mangled 1972 Mini Cooper

The Detroit Not-o-Rama: A Mangled 1972 Mini Cooper

We thought it would be virtually impossible to make an old Mini Cooper uncool. Yeah, they are quirky little cars, but they have a racing heritage and are basically road legal go karts. Heck, we know a guy who held an AHRA drag racing record with one in the 1960’s. Then we saw this car. Stunningly awful.

An intergalactic mural, “completely redone fiberglass interior,” 13 televisions, and “custom sounds” all add up to one of the more repulsive automotive messes we’ve ever seen.

It appears as though the car is being sold by a shop, presumably a custom car audio shop because at the tail end of the ad, they mention that they can “re-modify car to your style”. We’d do that with a Caterpillar bulldozer.

The only cool thing on this car are the minilite wheels and they aren’t even mentioned in the freaking ad. For all we know it has a set of 22s on it currently.

“COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZED TOP TO BOTTOM”

Not a good thing in this case. The $13,500 sale price is pure comedy.
