The Detroit Not-o-Rama: You Knew There Would Be a Chopper Involved

Few vehicular trends over saturated themselves harder than choppers. Seemingly overnight, every small town in America had a chopper shop that was cranking out overpriced motorcycles assembled from parts someone else made. Creative vision became ordering parts from different catalogs. Let’s not even mention “theme” bikes. Chad will definitely see some bikes at the Detroit AutoRama, let’s just hope they are cooler than this one.

This motorcycle falls into some of the typical chopper cliche traps and then at the same time, while trying to avoid others, comes out looking weird. Where are the belly button items? The handlebars for starters are classic late model chopper fodder, and the angular gas tank fits the mold as well.

This bike veers off the cliche trail by sticking with the stock forks, a narrow rear tire, and keeping the 750cc, 4-cyl, Honda engine. We’re not sure if those were good decisions either.

Help us decide. Is this thing really that bad or are we being too harsh?
