Well, that’s the end of that. At 12:45 local time yesterday, the very last American-made Pontiac left an assembly line in Orion Township, Michigan. There was zero fanfare for the white, fleet model G6 sedan. No media photos, no executive tributing the brand. Not even a gang of worker signatures under the decklid.
The very last Pontiac ever will be a G3 Wave that will be built in Mexico for the Canadian market sometime in December.
And then it’s over.
