Yes, the next special color for the 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T will be Panther Pink, but they are calling it Furious Fuschia and, according to insiders, it will be metallic, unlike the optional color from the 1970-1971 era. Also, it’s been known since October that Plum Crazy purple would become optional, and at this week’s North American International Auto Show, Dodge displayed a purple Challenger with a white interior and purple piping.

It seems that Chrysler is not in a position to spend any cash on real engineering, so the stripe and sticker packages are hitting the streets. The new Hi Impact colors are great for buzz with the old school Mopar fans, but something tells us that Furious Fuschia is not going to be this company’s lifesaver.
