The Antique Automobile Club of America’s Eastern Division National Fall Meet, held in Hershey, Pennsylvania, since 1975, was last weekend, and the New York Times, of all media outlets, was there to cover the action. We’re jealous.
The show seems to be as big and bad ass as ever and the story seems to back up what we have heard in that the car corral is the place to find and buy literally anything. Barn finds, classics, even brass era stuff can be found for sale.
In the days before the internet and eBay, events like Hershey were the lifeblood of the hobby and a place where lots of car guy business got done. It’s good to see that the event is still going strong despite the intrusion of digital forces.
The car in the photo is the 1936 Ford stainless steel concept, which was apparently at the show. Learn more about the stainless Fords here.
