The Parting Shift: Ayrton Senna working an NSX at 10/10ths

Ayrton Senna is dead. That’s a sad fact. The good news is that his life and times were in an era when video tape was available. Nearly everything the guy did was on camera. He was a rock star racer on a global level. This video proves why. It is a bitchin’ couple minutes of Senna beating the ever living crap out of an Acura NSX on a road course in Japan.

The best part of the video is that he’s doing it sans helmet, and while wearing loafers! He’s heel-to-toeing like a mother while rowing gears and trying to keep the car on the race track. The first minute is slow going as he’s just looking over the car while a horde of people photograph him, but once the rubber meets the road and he takes to the track in a cloud of tire smoke, it is awesome viewing.
