We’ve got a feeling that SEMA is going to really be rocking and rolling this year. Not that the show is ever dull, but the renderings of SEMA cars are starting to roll in at a heavier pace than we have seen over the last few late summer/early fall periods and that is a good sign. We got a note dropped through the basement window of BS world HQ the other day regarding this sweet 1972 Camaro that was constructed by Steve Strope and his crew at Pure Vision working with the people at HRE Wheels.
As you all know, Pure Vision cars have long been about melding some traditional European touches with classic American shapes and themes. From the awesome Martini Mustang last year to the 515 GTB Charger that the shop built a few years back, it is about taking the best parts of styling and performance and rolling them into a bitchin’ final package. Another touch of Pure Vision cars is super high quality finish work and subtle details that take more than a cursory glance to actually understand or even see!
This car will have a 1,200hp twin turbo Nelson Racing engine in it, a full carbon fiber body, HRE C1 wheels, and a whole lot more going on that no one will tell us about. Getting this much info was like asking to take the guided tour of the Kremlin! It is cool to see HRE involved with this project. The company has been around for several years, makes super high quality wheels which are often found on high end sports cars and exotics, and now it seems that they’re going to be entering the wheel market for more classic American iron. That certainly isn’t a bad thing. Options are good!
Also at SEMA HRE will be unveiling a 3D wheel rendering applicaiton for iPhones and Androids so you can fritter away even more of your time at the office checking out bitchin’ wheels.
We’ll be there when the cover is pulled off this baby and all the details are shown to the world. It should be way cool. Keep your eyes peeled for more renderings on BS as it is, “that time of the year” already!
I hope Gray at American Drivetrain gets his Coronet finished for SEMA this year… I know what’s in its build!
BKB
American Powertrain… Duoh
Until I read “Carbon fiber body” I was like, oh another silver with black stripes second gen, yawn.
