The Tale of the Hot Rod Murder Case in 1949

The St. Petersburg Times in Florida has posted on its web site a story written recently by the reporter who was on the beat way back in 1949 when a hot rod was used to identify the murderer of a policeman. The reporter was Jerry Blizin, who got his 15 minutes of fame for being in the right place at the right time to put two and two together and nab the killer who drove a car rusted with “polka dots.”

It’s a great read.
