The BUB Seven Streamliner is the world’s fastest motorcycle. It gained that title by hauling nearly 400 mph of ass at Bonneville in 2009 during a FIM and AMA sanctioned motorcycle land speed meet. The car is for sale because the owner’s business is in the tank and he needs to liquidate some assets to keep him employees on the job. It sucks that he has to part with it, but if there’s a more noble reason, we don’t know it.
You can’t say that bike owner Denis Manning is without a sense of humor. In a story published on Roadracingworld.com he drops some quotes that are funny in the gallows humor sense. “Business is f-ked,” he is quoted as saying at one point and another gem, “It’s like selling a kid. Well, I’d sell my kid cheaper than this f-ker will go for (laughs).”
The motorcycle is currently powered by a custom-built, turbocharged, 3.0L V4 engine that makes more power than the motor used to set the record. There’s lots of neat stuff about this machine packed into the story, like the fact is has a 0.08Cd as recorded in the A2 wind tunnel. Supposedly that number is the lowest ever seen at the facility.
Hit the link below to learn the whole story on one amazing machine. Manning is kind of evasive on the price, but we can’t imagine that he’s looking to give this land based projectile away for peanuts.
