As we all know, Chad moved to Texas a couple years back and as we also all know, the guy loves his OBS GM trucks and he totally loves Suburbans. This one rig that Rocco Bastone found may force Chad to pack up all his stuff and move back west because it’s basically the Holy Grail of OBS Suburbans. The ad tells us that this thing was bought in Canada and driven down to California. It is a 1995 model truck and it has a total of 44,000 miles on it. To say that it looks brand new is under-selling it big time. It looks factory fresh. The damned interior doesn’t even seem to have been occupied by anyone, ever.
Not only is all this factual, the idea that someone would sell this rolling box of perfect for $8,900 blows our mind. Normally someone who has something this nice is off the rails and thinks that it is some sort of hugely valuable collector’s item. This is not a collector car but it is something that a family could buy and drive for 20 years in California, doing the same job an $89,000 version of the truck would do for the same time period.
We’d not jack with this thing. We kind of hate the running boards but we’d leave them on. The fuel injected 350 is no drag strip hero but it would move one of these along good enough. There’s really nothing you are going to do to make this better (for the time being) and the $8,900 asking price borders on charitable.
Boy is this awesome. Chad, you better hurry.
Due diligence on the phone number on the CL listing shows this is NOT a private seller…it’s a dealer that fixes up cars and flips them…
CL is almost a total sham these days for even thinking/looking at ANYTHING for sale, more scams than real items for sale.
