Here’s one that will make you smile. This is a story by the San Francisco Chronicle about Norm Grib and the 1963 Galaxie his dad bought him in 1963.
Grib has driven the car across the country a couple of times and generally cared for it since it was new. What’s even cooler is that it was a Police Special 390, four-speed car, that sounds all the world to us like a true factory hot rod for the day.
The car has survived all these years, hundreds of thousands of miles, and even a near miss with a flood. There’s a reason we all love cars and stories like that of Norm Grib and his Galaxie remind us that we’re not alone in those feelings.
