Toyota may build a good running family transportation module, but the company pretty much sucks when it comes to racing. Formula One has been Toyota’s most high-profile racing failure. They’ve been dumping $200-300 million into their program for years and have yet to win a race.

According to this story from Reuters, there are now rumblings that the money tap may be shut off and Toyota may remove themselves from the Formula One competition arena. Senior executives have been quoted by the media as saying that cancelling the F1 program is an option to conserve money. Due to its huge budget we can see why.
